The Politics of Website Design
Webcredible announced that the Liberal Democrat’s website design topped their usability poll with 80 per cent of people finding it the most accessible political party website.
The Conservatives found themselves in familiar territory in second place while Labour continued their poor showing in all polls by coming in joint-fifth place out of ten party websites.
Webcredible director Trenton Moss said that political parties were not considering the needs of the electorate and this could lead to another low level of voter turnout.
If Gordon Brown does lose power next month he can point to the failings of Labour’s website to provide effective navigation while Nick Clegg could have the keys to 10 Downing Street all thanks to his party having the best website design.
